The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) invite the public to a pair of open houses in Fremont (Fremont City Hall, Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Avenue) and in Redwood City (Sequoia High School, Multi-Purpose Room, 1201 Brewster Avenue) on Thursday, May 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to learn about an update to the region’s long-range transportation and housing roadmap known as Plan Bay Area 2040. The meetings in Alameda and San Mateo counties are the first two open houses in a series to be held in all nine Bay Area counties beginning May 4 and continuing through May 22. For more information about upcoming meeting times, dates and locations in all nine counties, please visit the Plan Bay Area website: www.PlanBayArea.org.

Bay Area residents who attend these open houses will have the opportunity to view displays; ask questions; and offer comments on the Draft Plan’s goals, proposed growth patterns, transportation investment strategy, and key actions identified to address ongoing and long-term regional challenges.
