Fall 2025 Engagement Comments

Following the release of Draft Plan Bay Area 2050+ and the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR), MTC-ABAG held a formal public comment period to invite feedback on the Draft Plan, the Draft EIR and accompanying supplemental reports. The public comment period lasted from October 20 to December 18, 2025.

MTC-ABAG hosted four virtual sub-regional webinars and three hybrid public hearings where staff presented on the Draft Plan and Draft EIR before providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions. The public hearings included the opportunity for either oral or written public comment. To support inclusive participation, Spanish and Chinese interpretation services were offered and members of the public requested these services for the webinars and public hearings.

Written comments were also accepted via email, an online form, U.S. mail, fax and a phone line. All webinars and public hearings were held during the 59-day public comment period to maximize opportunities for participation and to allow members of the public to review the Draft Plan and Draft EIR prior to submitting formal comments. 

The full report on fall 2025 engagement, including key findings, were presented to the MTC Planning Committee on February 13, 2026.
